La Ferme du Champ Pelaz - Bed and Breakfast in Thusy (Haute Savoie)  The red cross indicates the exact location of the accommodation (if known):  An impressive 19th c farmhouse just outside Annecy in the heart of Haute-Savoie. Tastefully modernised internally by its English owners, with four spacious large bedrooms each of which has bath or shower en-suite. The large ground floor area has a superb fireplace, a TV corner and a dining area where you are served a plentiful breakfast with freshly baked croissants from the local boulanger. Outside the house, a large garden with swimming pool, a terrace with secure parking and a play area for children.  Activities and attractions nearby: Annecy, its superb lake, historic old town and chateau. Lake tours and boat hire. The "Secret Gardens" at Vaulx. The Gorge of the River Fier. The chateaus of Clermont, Montrottier and Menthon St Bernard. Several golf courses at hand. Geneva, Chamonix and Mont Blanc.  How to come: From the RN508 (Annecy to Bourg-en-Bresse) just outside Annecy, take the D17 to Sillingy. Pass through Sillingy heading towards Seyssel following the direction shown on the BLUE Chambres d'Hotes sign. Turn left at the second BLUE sign onto the D38 to Thusy after passing through Lugy/Arzy and then la Combe de Sillingy. Before Thusy, you will reach Pesey where you turn right on the crest of the hill to see the large white gates of La Ferme directly ahead of you.  Rates: ?70 or ?90 per night bed and breakfast for two people.  Restaurants: Aperitifs are followed by a three course dinner with local cheeses, wine, coffee or infusions of your choice. Barbecues by the pool during the summer. |
